"Cork cute-hoor foodies know better than to miss the market at Mahon Point every Thursday. The large forecourt of the shopping centre is where the best producers from east and west Cork get to strut their stuff in front of the city cousins. Office workers, shoppers, builders and yummy mummies gather to get the best in fresh vegetables, cake, coffee, fish, meat and cheese while enjoying a bit of on-the-hoof lunch from the hot-food stalls. If that isn't enough, you can always eyeball the Munster rugby players such as Donnacha O'Callaghan or Ronan O'Gara, who regularly use the place for a healthy refuel after training."
The Market takes place every Thursday from 10am to 3pm on the plaza in front
of the main entrance to the
Mahon Point Shopping centre.
In bad weather the market moves to the shelter of the adjacent covered carpark.
